As Global Strategic Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in shaping Novonesis’ global partnership with an innovation driven leading global customer.

The Role and Your Impact
In this role, you will be a key driver of the development of Novonesis’ global partnership with a major strategic customer. The position is strongly focused on innovation and strategy, with clear emphasis on mid‑ to long‑term value creation.
Your success will depend on your ability to navigate complexity, collaborate across functions, and influence senior stakeholders. You will work closely with global commercial teams and the technical organization to shape and mature growth opportunities and translate strategy into a value‑driven commercial pipeline.
Your key responsibilities include:
Driving the mid‑ to long‑term business development, including large‑scale NPD initiatives and external customer engagement
Identifying, shaping, and maturing strategic growth opportunities and white spaces aligned with customer priorities and Novonesis’ focus areas
Representing Novonesis in technical innovation meetings and acting as a strong sparring partner to technical colleagues to shape innovation direction, while translating innovative ideas into compelling, customer‑relevant propositions
Shaping senior‑level customer engagement, including executive meetings and workshops
Acting as a strategic sparring partner to the Global Strategic Account Director on long‑term growth ambitions and strategic direction
What You Will Need to Be Successful
A master’s degree in business, science, or a relevant technical field
At least 5 years of experience in business development, key account management, or commercial strategy, ideally in a B2B or CPG‑related environment. Experience from Household Care is a plus.
Experience building and maturing mid‑ to long‑term commercial pipelines
Strong customer engagement skills, with the credibility to work with senior stakeholders and translate complex technical topics into clear, value‑based stories
Technical understanding or strong technical curiosity, with the ability to operate at the intersection of commercial and technical disciplines
Strong strategic and analytical thinking, combined with strong problem‑solving skills and the persistence to progress multiple initiatives through ambiguity
Strong project management skills and the ability to influence without formal authority in complex, cross‑functional, matrix organizations
Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English
