About the Role
As Senior Director of Finance, you will lead the financial strategy, planning, and performance management for our global Subsea Production Systems (SPS) business. Acting as a key partner to the Business Unit President and senior leadership team, you will provide financial insight, challenge, and guidance to support strategic decision-making and drive sustainable growth.
You will own and continuously enhance planning and forecasting processes, deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis, and translate data into actionable business insights. A key focus of the role is driving efficiency, scalability, and performance through process improvement, automation, and strong financial governance.
This role requires strong leadership across a global organization, managing financial initiatives, budgeting, KPI tracking, and ensuring delivery of annual financial targets. You will also act as a trusted advisor on business transformation, investment decisions, and complex financial matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership on financial initiatives, business strategy, policies and practices.
- Ensure the financial statements/reports accurately and completely represent the business unit activities.
- Leading a complex global financial consolidation and reporting process for the organization, across multiple geographic regions, countries and legal entities.
- Manage ad hoc and monthly financial reporting (income statement, balance sheet, working capital, capital spending, etc.) across the world, providing analysis and interpretation of operating results and variances (i.e., actual vs budget, vs forecasts vs trends).
- Manae global FP&A organization with a team of 10.
- Manage project accounting responsibilities including over time revenue recognition, project forecasts, margins, contingencies and cash flow. Analyze risks/opportunities and works closely with project managers for the successful execution.
- Support the risk assessment (bids) process with Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, Tax and Compliance including review of margins, cash flow, risks and revenue recognition accounting.
- Inventory reporting (valuation, verification, obsolescence) and works closely with Operations, Manufacturing and Accounting teams to better manage costs, product lines, margins, work in progress aged balances, reserves, cycle counts, materials in transit, warranty projects and other adjustments.
- Participate in working capital initiatives through reporting and analysis, providing support for the business.
- Evaluate capital expenditures including budgets and economic analysis to maximize ROI. Technical advisor for complex accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Participate in acquisition analysis and leads financial acquisition integration efforts.
- Support the development and coordination of a strong internal control environment.
- Participate in the IT systems transformation strategy and execution with a total commitment to continual system improvement.
- Actively automate and streamline processes, develop metrics and key performance indicators and assist in initiatives to roll out efficient policies and procedures.
- Support other NOV Corporate functions (Treasury, Legal, Real Estate, etc.) with business information.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role with end-to-end responsibility across FP&A, controlling, accounting, and global reporting
- Strong track record in managing complex global financial consolidation and reporting across multiple entities and regions
- Experience leading and developing high-performing, global finance teams
- Experience working in large, complex, international matrix organizations with strong cross-functional collaboration
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and business partnering with senior stakeholders
- Ability to combine strong finance fundamentals with deep business understanding, translating financial insights into clear, actionable business decisions
- Proven business acumen with the confidence to proactively challenge the business and influence decision-making in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with senior leadership, clearly articulating performance, risks, and opportunities
- Strong analytical capabilities, including root cause analysis, identifying key learnings, and driving continuous improvement
- Solid understanding of financial governance, internal controls, and accounting standards
- Experience supporting business operations through financial analysis, including project accounting, working capital, inventory, and capital expenditure evaluation
- Proven ability to drive finance transformation, including process improvements, automation, and system implementations
