About the Role 

As Quality Specialist at NOV Subsea Production Systems in Kalundborg, you will play a key role in safeguarding and continuously improving quality standards across our manufacturing operations. The position has company-wide authority in quality-related matters and is central to ensuring compliance with NOV quality policies, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, Kalundborg, and working closely with production, projects, and global QHSE stakeholders, you will support daily operations while driving long-term quality improvements. As a member of the Plant Management Team, the role contributes directly to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and NOV’s strategic quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Quality System Oversight – Monitor, maintain, and improve the implementation and effectiveness of NOV’s quality management systems across operations.
  • Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions – Identify quality issues, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and ensure findings are effectively closed and embedded into operations.
  • Production & Project Support – Provide quality input to manufacturing and project teams, including participation in kick-off meetings, inspections, and project reviews.
  • Data & Performance Analysis – Review RAP (Report of Anomalies in Production) and quality statistics to prioritize improvement initiatives and reduce costly non-conformances.
  • Policy & Best Practice Governance – Act as a policy maker for quality best practices, ensuring alignment between procedures and actual operational practice.
  • Stakeholder Coordination – Work closely with production, QC, projects, and global QHSE stakeholders, including support to international sites when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in client meetings, audits, and inspections.
  • Support NDT activities and act as IQ Supervisor on assigned inspections.
  • Contribute to training, onboarding, and quality awareness initiatives.
  • Ensure timely client notifications of hold/witness points.

 

Qualifications & Skills 

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar quality-oriented role within a manufacturing environment with personnel management responsibilities.
  • Strong experience handling deviations and quality non-conformances, with regular interaction with management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to speak and write English at a professional working level.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Quality Management.
  • Experience from fabrication, assembly, or testing within the oil & gas industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, or similar global industry standards.
  • Knowledge of API Q1 standards or formal API Q1 training.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle).
