Does the idea of taking technical ownership of CIP solutions on some of the largest pharmaceutical projects excite you? And do you thrive in a role where deep technical expertise, customer interaction, and collaboration go hand in hand? Then you’ll fit right in.

Who we are

We are a leading pharma engineering company shaping the future of API pharma engineering globally. Leveraging the expertise of 2,000+ employees across Denmark, India, and the US, we design, build and optimise pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are essential to the health and well-being of patients everywhere.

Our success is driven by passion, innovation, and collaboration — with our customers and across our teams and disciplines. If you share our dedication to a noble cause and our passion for API pharma engineering, then NNE is the place for you.

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong, hands-on expertise in Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) to join our “Utility & Solvents” discipline. In this role, CIP is your primary and core technical focus.

You will act as a technical lead within CIP, supporting projects from early concept and design through commissioning, qualification, and handover. You will play a key role in defining CIP philosophies, cleaning strategies, and system designs that ensure GMP compliance, operational efficiency, and sustainability. All our work is project-based, giving you continuous opportunities to influence technical decisions, support customers, and mentor colleagues within the CIP discipline.

Depending on project needs, your workplace will be at our office in Virum, Kalundborg, or at customer sites, and you should expect regular travel between locations.

Location Virum (with commuting to site in Kalundborg)
Experience Minimum 7 Years
Department Utility & Solvents

How you might spend your days
As a Senior Engineer within CIP, you’ll be:
  • Design, specify, and deliver CIP systems across all project phases, from concept and detailed design to commissioning, qualification, and handover.
  • Define CIP strategies, cleaning concepts, and design philosophies in accordance with GMP requirements
  • Prepare and review CIP-related PFDs, P&IDs, URSs, and technical specifications
  • Optimize CIP systems with focus on cleanability, robustness, sustainability, and lifecycle cost
  • Collaborate closely with automation teams on control strategies, sequences, and CIP recipes
  • Support and participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities
Who you are
We care about who you are as a person. In the end, how you work, and your energy is what impacts the results we achieve as a team. As a person, you are:
  • Take ownership and work independently while thriving in collaborative project teams
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, colleagues, and suppliers, enabling you to work effectively in a consultancy role with our customers
  • Are goal-oriented and have a great customer understanding and a consultant-oriented mindset

What you bring to the role
In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:
  • Degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, biotechnology or similar)
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with CIP systems in the life science or biotech industry
  • Great knowledge of GMP regulations and industry standards related to CIP
  • Experience working across all project phases, from design to commissioning, qualification & handover
