About the role
We are
looking for a Manager for PLC Systems to lead and develop a team of automation
engineers working with PLC, DCS, and related control system technologies
supporting pharmaceutical API production. The department delivers end-to-end
automation and control solutions, from early concept and design through
implementation, testing, and handover, as well as lifecycle support and
modernization of existing systems.
Your primary responsibility will be people
leadership: creating a well-functioning, motivated, and competent team that
delivers high-quality solutions to our projects and customers. You will play a
key role in shaping the department’s future by driving competence development,
ensuring the right capabilities, and fostering a collaborative culture aligned
with our strategy.
You will
work closely with peers across Automation, IT, Quality, and Project Management
to ensure alignment, compliance, and successful project execution in a
regulated GMP environment.
The PLC Systems department is a central part of our
automation delivery. We work with a broad range of control system technologies,
including PLC/SCADA solutions and DeltaV DCS, supporting pharmaceutical
API production across the full project lifecycle. Our tasks span from early idea
generation and conceptual design, through detailed engineering and
programming, to installation, commissioning, on-site testing, and
validation in regulated GMP environments.

How you might spend your days
As Manager in PLC
Systems, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15–25 automation engineers working with PLC/SCADA solutions and DCS systems, specifically DeltaV
- Ensure a strong team culture with focus on collaboration, well-being, feedback and continuous development
- Coordinate and prioritize resources across projects in close dialogue with project managers and stakeholders, while contributing to projects when relevant
- Drive competence development, knowledge sharing, and support your team in both technical and professional matters
- Collaborate with colleagues across Denmark and India to ensure alignment and scalability, and be part of securing new assignments with account managers

What you bring to the role

- Proven experience in people
management, preferably within automation, PLC/DCS, or industrial IT
- Background in engineering,
automation, or a related technical field
- Experience from pharma, biotech,
or other regulated industries is an advantage
- Understanding of GMP environments
and structured engineering execution is beneficial
- Fluency in English
