THE ROLE

You will be working with a mix of custom-made technologies and ground research. You will design, develop and implement electronic systems and laser products throughout the entire product life cycle. You will closely collaborate with experts in your own and other fields to meet the demanding requirements. The products you develop are typically low volume but high margin, reflecting the complexity and effort put into each system. You are prepared to learn to interpret and scope fuzzy customer requirements.

• Be responsible for Electronics development for laser products throughout the entire product life cycle.

• Work closely with experts from other areas like optics and mechanics on system design.

• Take ownership of project work packages within product development projects; work with project managers to ensure delivery of solutions within the planned deadlines and budgets.

• Interact with project and product stakeholders and communicate information clearly across the R&D organization.

• Form new and innovative design concepts and take ownership of electronics system designs.

• Create reference designs for other electronics designers in our organization.

• Support manufacturing of existing laser products, custom orders, product improvement activities.

• Ensure product compliance and certification according to industry standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experience from senior roles in developing advanced PCBs for complex systems spanning the complete product life cycle.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills engaging with management and other engineering disciplines.

• Proven track record of successful PCB productization.

• Deep domain knowledge in at least one of the following areas: analog design, power supplies, control loops, digital interfaces or low noise designs.

• Detailed knowledge of state of the art electronic and software technologies.

• Experience of working with external partners.

• A scientific mindset, out of the box thinker but still with a practical approach.

• Master’s degree in electronics or similar.

• English – both oral and written.
