At Nexi, we’re building the future of payments across Europe. To strengthen our digital visibility and ensure that customers can easily find, understand, and choose our solutions, we are looking for a SEO/AEO Project Manager to join our growing Digital Marketing team.
Why This Role Is Right for You
As SEO/AEO Project Manager, you will lead initiatives to improve Nexi’s online presence, organic performance, and digital discoverability across both traditional search engines and AI-powered engines (AEO). You will be responsible for driving SEO/AEO projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring that optimization initiatives are executed with measurable impact.
You will work closely with colleagues in Digital Marketing, Proposition, local marketing teams, Brand & Communications, and Nexi Digital (our central tech & analytics function).
About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:
- Develop and manage Nexi’s SEO & AEO roadmap to improve organic visibility, traffic, and conversions across multiple markets.
- Lead technical SEO projects (site structure, crawlability, redirects, Core Web Vitals, etc.) in collaboration with developers and central digital teams.
- Drive on-page optimization (metadata, headings, content structure, internal linking) together with content teams.
- Identify opportunities for off-page SEO, including backlink strategies and authority building.
- Monitor, analyze, and report SEO/AEO performance using analytics and SEO tools.
- Ensure SEO best practices are integrated into website migrations (e.g., domain transitions).
- Manage SEO vendors and partners to deliver high-quality output.
- Act as project manager across SEO/AEO initiatives, aligning stakeholders and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Optimize Nexi’s digital content for AI-driven search engines, answer engines, and chatbots.
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure content is structured and enriched for LLM discoverability (e.g., schema markup, structured data, FAQs, conversational queries).
- Experiment with prompt engineering, AI-based content summaries, and answer snippets to increase Nexi’s visibility in AI-powered results.
- Monitor how generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot) present Nexi-related content and adjust optimization strategies.
- Drive adoption of LLM-driven tools and analytics to improve keyword research, content creation, and competitor monitoring.
The possible work location can be Copenhagen, Stockholm, Frankfurt or other key Nexi hub in Europe| Hybrid
What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re looking for someone eager to make a difference. Here’s what we value:
Essential Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven SEO experience (agency or in-house).
- Strong knowledge of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO.
- Curiosity and understanding of AEO (AI Engine Optimization) and emerging AI search technologies.
- Proven results on both SEO and AEO.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Accuranker, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar.
- Familiarity with LLM-based AI tools for content and optimization workflows.
- Experience in project management, ideally in complex, international environments.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills in English; other European languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, AEM, WordPress, Sitecore) is a strong advantage.
