Role OverviewWe are seeking a Director, Sales Operations & Governance (m/f/d) to design, align, and continuously improve our global sales operating model. This role ensures that sales execution is fully aligned with company strategy and supported by robust governance, data transparency, and scalable processes.
Acting as the central backbone of the global sales organization, you will enable performance, consistency, and informed decision-making across all regions and segments, working closely with senior stakeholders across functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Operations Leadership & Strategy
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for global sales operations topics
- Ensure alignment between company strategy and sales execution frameworks
- Define and continuously evolve the global sales operating model
- Drive standardisation, scalability, and efficiency across sales processes
Governance & Framework Ownership
- Own and develop the global quotation management framework
- Own pricing strategy governance and ensure consistent application
- Establish and maintain global sales governance structures and policies
- Ensure compliance and transparency across all commercial processes
Sales Data & Performance Management
- Own sales data landscape, including S&OP integration
- Define and drive global sales reporting standards and KPIs
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and actionable insights
- Enable performance tracking and decision-making at all levels
Systems & Tools Ownership
- Act as global CRM Application Owner and owner of additional sales applications
- Drive optimisation, adoption, and continuous improvement of sales tools
- Ensure systems support efficient and scalable sales execution
Enablement & Capability Building
- Define and drive global sales tool and process training
- Establish best practices and ensure knowledge sharing across regions
- Enable a high-performance sales culture through clarity and structure
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as key interface between sales, finance, product management, and operations
- Align sales processes with financial planning, product strategy, and delivery capabilities
Key Requirements- Proven track record in building and evolving Sales Operating Models aligned with company strategy
- Strong experience in sales operations and commercial governance in an international environment
- Experience in building and scaling global processes, frameworks, and standards
- Solid experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, and performance management
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
- Excellent communication and change management skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders
- High level of structure, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability
Education:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred
