Project Director
The Director - Terminal Development will be responsible to the Chief Technical Officer for the effective implementation of new terminal developments on time and budget whilst meeting planned performance levels post commissioning. Some of the key responsibilities for the role will include:
Main Responsibilities
· Contribution to the assessment of new terminal opportunities including layout, specifications, budgets and schedules;
· Working with TIL civil engineering, equipment engineering, information technology, terminal
efficiency, treasury, legal and risk to coordinate and lead the TIL organization inputs into new terminal developments;
· Building effective relationships with joint venture partners in new terminal developments;
· Recruiting and managing new terminal project teams responsible for the on-site management of the development;
· Coordination of the procurement and management of contractors and suppliers to new terminal developments;
· Co-ordination and integration with the future TiL and terminal business management for effective transfer of responsibility for the commissioned terminal.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Skill: Key requirements · Experience in the container terminal industry is very beneficial however may be substituted by extensive experience in similar infrastructure developments at a senior executive level, · Proven development leadership competencies across joint ventures, internal functions, suppliers and contractors, · Excellent communicator and negotiator able to work across cultures and nationalities, · Proficiency in both written and spoken English with strong expertise in concise and effective written and presentation skills.
This is a senior executive role with responsibility for significant capital sums requiring previous experience in similar scale and complexity project developments,
