We are looking for a Student Assistant - Emerging AI based in Copenhagen, Denmark (hybrid mode of working).

Role Summary

We are seeking motivated and curious student assistant to join our Emerging AI team. In this role, you’ll contribute to innovative AI and computer vision algorithm development projects while working closely with our engineering and research teams. We also provide you with the possibility to work on a master’s thesis topic related to your student assistant tasks.

This is an exciting chance to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while continuing
your academic studies.

What you will do

• Implement and test AI and computer vision algorithms.
• Enhance and curate datasets to ensure quality and relevance.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to integrate algorithms into production software.
• Write technical documentation and reports

What you bring to the team

• Enrollment: Currently enrolled in a master's program in Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python. Experience with a deep learning framework such as PyTorch is required. Familiarity with additional programming languages—such as C++, C#, Java, or Go—is a plus. 
• Courses/projects: Demonstrated coursework or hands-on projects in AI, with a focus on computer vision. Enthusiasm for advancing your knowledge in this area is essential.
• Work Delivery: Ability to deliver high-quality implementations on schedule.

About the team

Emerging Products is a newly established unit in Milestone Systems working on incubating novel ideas and
maturing them into products. The products will cover a broad range of AI solutions that are of interest to
the surveillance industry, including video analytics.
