As a Student Assistant in Digital Process Optimization, you’ll be at the forefront of eliminating "digital friction" within our Global IT organization. Working closely with the Digital Workplace team, you’ll actively contribute to streamlining our internal operations, leveraging insights from user behaviors and support data to design smarter workflows.

Your primary focus will revolve around identifying inefficient habits, like manual email chains or disorganized file structures, and replacing them with optimized Modern Workplace solutions. Your role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our powerful technology stack and actual user behavior. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skill set in business analysis, process automation, and digital strategy on the job, with ample room for growth and development.

What you will do

The main mission of this role is to hunt down "Digital Friction" within the Global IT organization. You will apply the Pareto Principle to identify and fix the 20% of inefficient habits that cause 80% of the lost time.

The "Workflow Detective" (Discovery & Analysis)

  • Interview & Observe: Conduct "Gemba walks" (sit-downs) with IT teams (Service Desk, Enterprise Architecture, Security…) to observe daily habits and challenge the status quo by asking: "Why do you do it this way?"
  • Data-Driven Diagnosis: Analyze support ticket data to identify recurring "How-to" questions that suggest a knowledge gap rather than a technical bug.
  • Identify Friction: Spot manual processes (e.g., emailing attachments, manual meeting notes, chaotic file structures) that are silently killing productivity.

The "Best Practice" Architect (Solution Design)

  • Propose Quick Wins: Leverage your knowledge of the Digital Workplace (Teams, Planner, OneDrive, Loop, Copilot, Miro…) to design immediate, low-effort changes to fix the identified friction points.
  • Standardize Solutions: Transform messy processes into clean, documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or reusable templates.
  • Validate & Measure: Test solutions with a pilot group and use specific metrics (Time Saved, Ticket Deflection) to prove value before full rollout.

Collaboration & Content Handoff

  • Act as the “user insights expert” for our IT Communication Student. You provide the insights and value proposition that enables changes through campaigns.
  • Maintain documentation of all work performed, ensuring our internal Knowledge Base is always up to date.

What you bring

You are currently studying a related field within IT, Digital Design or Interactive Digital Media or studying business with a flair for people, analytics and insights. Furthermore, we hope you see yourself in most of below:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Business Administration, Digital Innovation, IT Management, Digital Design or similar).
  • Digital Advances: Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Planner). Instinctive understanding of modern collaboration (e.g., "Link vs. Attachment") and how AI can contribute to process optimization in organizations.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to look beyond the symptom to find the root cause of a problem. Familiarity with basic data interpretation.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (Corporate language). Ability to explain technical concepts simply.
  • Diplomacy: Comfortable challenging senior colleagues on their workflows in a respectful and constructive manner.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Power Platform (Power BI / Power Automate) is a plus, but not mandatory.

The team you will be part of

You will join the Digital Workplace feature team within Global IT. Our scope covers the entire employee technology journey: device management (Windows, Mac, Mobile), client security, adoption & training, and the rollout of new tools.

You will be based in Global IT in the HQ in Brøndby with the Product Owner. You will have a close, daily collaboration with the Digital Workplace team in Barcelona. Global IT covers all regions, but the vast majority of our IT colleagues are based in Brøndby.

You will work alongside Senior Collaboration Engineers and two other Student Assistants focused on IT Communication/Community and IT Data Analysis, creating a bridge between technical implementation and user adoption.
