Senior Semiconductor Growth Expert

We are looking for a Material Development Scientist to drive the development of next generation semiconductor materials for topological qubits. In this role you will develop the next generation semiconductor materials for topological qubits. In this role, you will take a hands on and results driven approach to growing and optimizing advanced III/V semiconductor heterostructures, working closely with an international team of experts. This opportunity will allow you to contribute to the fastevolving field of quantum computing by leveraging and further developing your expertise to build bestinclass semiconductor stacks. You will work with internationally renowned experts in a highly resultsdriven industrial environment.

• Develop and optimize new semiconductor layer stacks for topological qubit applications 

• Perform hands on epitaxial growth of III/V semiconductors using Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) 

• Design, execute, and drive material improvement projects, from hypothesis to demonstrated results 

• Leverage latest generative AI frameworks to accelerate materials development  

• Collaborate efficiently with an international, cross disciplinary team, actively fostering teamwork and knowledge exchange 

• Communicate technical results clearly and effectively to technical and non technical stakeholders 

• Maintain strong execution focus by prioritizing what matters most and cutting nonessential side tracks early 

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs) 
 

• Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND significant hands on experience in semiconductor epitaxy, with demonstrated impact on material quality and performance 

• Proven ability to uplift, structure, and clearly communicate complex technical content to diverse stakeholders 

• Strong results oriented mindset, including confident prioritization, rapid focus on what matters most, and effective integration and collaboration within international teams 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs) 

• Doctorate Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field 

• Experience in an industrial environment 

• Hands on experience with III/V semiconductor growth, particularly InAs based and related material systems 

• Extensive MBE experience, including process optimization and material quality improvement

• Experience with basic semiconductor device characterization using e.g. Hall bars. 

• Strong interest in and ideally experience in using AI for science
