The Senior Process Engineer provides end-to-end ownership of fabrication processes operated under UHV conditions, blending execution with process development, qualification, and POR alignment.
Fabricate quantum devices using UHV‑based nanofabrication and deposition processes.
Drive process development and transition of mature processes into the POR.
Monitor, control, and maintain fabrication process flows, with a focus on improving process quality and control. This includes yield tracking, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support root cause analysis or failure mode investigations related to device quality and fabrication processes.
Troubleshoot operational issues and participate in planning and execution of UHV tool maintenance.
MSc with relevant experience or PhD in Materials Science, Engineering, or Physics.
Significant hands-on experience with UHV-based nanofabrication and process development of superconducting and/or semiconductor materials.
Experience with superconductor and/or semiconductor materials characterization techniques used to assess structural, interfacial, and electrical performance relevant to process quality and device behavior.
Demonstrated experience as process owner for UHV deposition tools, including maintenance planning, tool qualifications, and change control.
Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a highly challenging environment.
