DevOps Engineer

MapsPeople is entering a pivotal phase of AI-led transformation and growth, shaping the future of spatial intelligence and indoor navigation through our world-leading indoor mapping platform, MapsIndoors. As we scale our platform, we are also expanding our DevOps capabilities to support this growth.
The Role
In this role, you will play a key part in bridging development and operations to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable software delivery. You will focus on automation, infrastructure management, and continuous integration and deployment, enabling smooth releases, improved system reliability, and ongoing operational excellence.
You will also contribute to our backend data platform, supporting feature development and improvements to the services powering our indoor mapping solutions and data products.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery
- Define, implement, and manage infrastructure as code
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve workflows - Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes to support knowledge sharing
- When operational priorities allow, contribute to backend development efforts, including feature development, bug fixes, and performance improvements
We imagine you come with
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role
- Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- Practical experience with infrastructure as code
Experience with or interest in backend development in .NET
Preferred qualifications (nice to have)
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD)
- Experience with large-scale data processing pipelines
- Interest in indoor positioning, navigation, or geospatial data
- Experience improving developer experience or tooling
