Help shape the future of Audit & Investigation (A&I) at Maersk.

A&I (formerly Group Internal Audit) is on an exciting transformation journey under new leadership.

The function is redefining its operating model, building new capabilities, and elevating how we deliver assurance, investigation, and advisory services across the organization.

We are now looking for a Transformation Partner to join our Operational Excellence (OEX) team and play a key role in driving this change.

About the role

As a Transformation Partner, you will work across a broad portfolio of initiatives that modernize how A&I operates. You will help define new standards, embed improved ways of working, strengthen capability development, and support our overall transformation roadmap.

This is an ideal opportunity for a strong generalist – someone curious, structured and proactive – who wants to grow within transformation, project management, operational excellence, or internal risk disciplines.

NB: While it would be a plus, you do not need an audit or investigations background to succeed here.

What matters is your ability to learn quickly, navigate complexity, and drive progress.

What you will work on

  • Supporting and coordinating end-to-end transformation projects including but not limited to:
  • Revamping of new methodology & tooling across A&I
  • Establishing capability framework
  • Supporting MPACT adoption – the Maersk framework for people development, objectives and performance reflections
  • Development and implementation of new standards and processes
  • Engaging and coordinating with teams across audit, investigations, digital excellence, and OEX
  • Contributing to our continuous improvement culture and operational excellence agenda in line with The Maersk Way
  • Providing generalist project support across A&I’s roadmap

What you bring

We are open to candidates from different backgrounds and encourage applicants who may not have audit or investigation experience but bring strong core capabilities as per below.

You may be a great fit if you bring:

Core capabilities

  • Ability to structure and solve problems using practical judgement and logical thinking
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills including coordinating multiple workstreams
  • Comfort operating independently and taking ownership
  • Curiosity, adaptability and a growth mindset with willingness to engage in ambiguous or evolving topics
  • Interest in transformation, operational excellence and/or process improvement

Nice-to-haves (not required)

  • Exposure to audit, investigations, internal controls or risk
  • Experience with LEAN, continuous improvement or operational excellence
  • Consulting, PMO, analytics or capability-building experience

Who you are

  • A proactive generalist who enjoys variety and working on new topics
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
  • Able to collaborate across multiple teams and levels
  • Energized by building something new and improving how an organisation operates
  • Keen to develop within transformation, program management, or A&I more broadly

What we offer

  • A rare opportunity to help reshape a global function during a pivotal transformation
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders across Maersk
  • A supportive, development-focused environment
  • The chance to make a tangible impact from day one
  • Future opportunity to work as an auditor or investigator
