We’re seeking a skilled Procurement Consultant to join our Sourcing Transformation team, part of Corporate Procurement, at our global headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. If you’re driven, analytical, and eager to make an impact, this is your opportunity to be part of a team that’s transforming global sourcing strategies.

Your new role

As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sourcing strategies across functions and spend categories. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with diverse teams across functions and geographies.
  • Identifying and initiating sourcing projects in partnership with senior stakeholders within and beyond Procurement.
  • Preparing and presenting fact-based analyses to inform decision-making at the highest levels of Lundbeck.
  • Facilitating governance boards relevant to your sourcing projects.
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to ensure optimal outcomes for Lundbeck.

Your future team

At Lundbeck, Corporate Procurement is a global team of 50 employees based in Copenhagen, Chicago, and Krakow. Together, we manage a total external spend of approximately DKK 8 billion. Our mission is to optimize global spending across areas such as R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services, IT, and larger investment projects (capex).

We collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including Senior Vice Presidents and their teams, to build strategies and execute improvement projects. Our approach is grounded in fact-based decision-making, collaborative problem-solving, and active leadership. We are committed to developing our employees through coaching, feedback, and empowering individuals with significant responsibilities. Corporate Procurement reports directly to Lundbeck’s CFO, reflecting its strategic importance to the company.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

We’re looking for candidates who bring a unique blend of skills, experience, and qualities:

  • Educational background: Master’s degree in business administration, law, engineering, natural sciences, or related fields with a strong business/economics component. Experience in consulting is an advantage.
  • Leadership skills: Natural leadership abilities, taking initiative, and setting high professional standards for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Effective communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and suppliers.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking: Proven ability to conduct fact-based analyses, identify improvement opportunities, and develop category strategies.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage.
  • Collaboration and negotiation: Ability to work effectively with global colleagues and drive successful supplier negotiations.
