Commercial minded Head of Product

Kuba is a fast-growing company revolutionizing the mobility payments landscape with innovative technology solutions. As we expand our operations, we’re looking for a talented leader to steer our product strategy and execution.

As the Product Lead at Kuba Denmark, you will play a critical role in defining and driving the vision for our products in public transportation, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of our users and the demands of the markets - mostly centered around US, Nordics and Africa.

At Kuba Denmark, you will be focusing on two mature products with millions of daily users, but in general you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and iteration. Your strategic insights will be pivotal in aligning our product offerings with our organizational goals and customer expectations.

In this role, you will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the product team while working cross-functionally to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will also be responsible for developing a product roadmap that prioritizes initiatives based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives. We value design thinking and expect you to follow the best practices here.

You will maintain a product overview in Confluence, a commercial overview in Hubspot and a work overview in Jira while doing communications on Slack, Blink and email. You will manage a team of Product Designers and Product Owners in our Copenhagen-based office, but you will have very close contact with Kuba Group’s global Product Portfolio Manager (based in France) and key customers (mostly large municipalities and public transport agencies) based in our markets.

The role requires you to digest and interpret feature requirements from public tender materials while you on the other hand also stay on top of market trends. When combined with your experience and overview, you will streamline the principles of continuous and steady roadmap planning vs the shifting requirements from custom development from customers.

Furthermore, the role entails HR duties for your team members and financial management towards our combined P/L. You will report directly to the Head of Country and you will take a seat in our leadership group - sided by Head of Platform Infrastructure, Head of Engineering.

The position is expected to have 2-4 days of travel per month, from time to time more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget are met
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver product initiatives smoothly

  • Communicate effectively within the organization about product updates (newsletters, demos, quarterly reviews, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
