Do you want to be a part of the development and reliable operations of our new Unified Commerce platform with more than 3,300 stores and 28 web shops? If so, come and join our team of 70 Developers in the IT department at JYSK.

You will become a part of JYSK’s IT department, which consists of more than 300 ambitious and highly skilled colleagues. As our new colleague, you will work with ensuring stable operations of JYSK’s high-load cross channel e-commerce platform, which is used in more than 28 countries.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

You will join our TechOps team, a group of 6 skilled colleagues in a standalone team collaborating across 5 ARTs and more than 50 teams within the SAFe framework.

While your immediate team is based in Aarhus, you will work closely with colleagues from across all of JYSK, primarily spanning our locations in Aarhus, Handewitt, and Lisbon. Our team holds the vital responsibility for the monitoring and operations of a wide range of in-house developed applications. This role offers you the opportunity to ensure the stability and performance of systems across diverse business areas while working with a variety of modern technologies.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

We need an experienced Senior Engineer with interests in investigating incidents, correcting complex bugs and collaborating with our agile teams in solving issues, to help us ensure the scalability and resilience of our backend applications. Monitoring, troubleshooting and problem-solving as well as setting guidelines for the above, are all part of the team’s daily work and toolbox.

You will be working with newer technology, frameworks and platforms including:

• Java 17/21/25
• Spring Boot
• Kafka
• Splunk
• New Relic
• MariaDB
• Kubernetes

It is not important that you have worked with all the above-mentioned technologies, frameworks or platforms as long as you have the curiosity to learn more. We are open-minded towards the usage of open source. Thus, you will have the opportunity to introduce new libraries and frameworks where suitable.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

We are looking for a new colleague who:

• Has experience in the Java language and is passionate about IT and software development
• Is a skilled developer, who continuously strives to improve your skills
• Has experience with or desire to communicate across teams and departments
• Has a flair for investigating root causes
• Has experience with some of the frameworks and platforms we use 
• Has experience handling incidents or L3 technical support and facilitating post mortems
• Is adept in managing own time and priorities and taking qualified decisions during critical incidents
• Is proactive, helpful, collaborative and a great team player
