Accountabilities

You will play a key role in building and maintaining robust backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across all services. Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Building and optimizing APIs and microservices to support high-throughput, low-latency applications.
  • Contributing to the development and launch of new features and products using agile methodologies.
  • Ensuring platform scalability and reliability to support growing global usage and real-time transactions.
  • Implementing strong security practices across backend systems to protect data and infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with other systems and applications.
  • Working with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB to manage and optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving backend architecture.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled backend engineer with strong problem-solving abilities and experience working on complex, scalable systems. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, with experience building production-grade applications.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in backend development.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, with attention to performance and scalability.
  • Experience with message queues, caching systems, or job queues (e.g., Redis) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of additional languages such as Ruby, Rust, or C++ is advantageous.
  • Exposure to blockchain technologies or high-availability systems is a strong plus.
