Accountant Manager

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant Manager to oversee accounting operations in a flexible, part-time remote role. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and actionable insights for business decisions. The role blends manual accounting expertise with proficiency in modern accounting software, allowing you to manage financial statements, trial balances, and P&L reporting effectively. You will collaborate with stakeholders, maintain accounting systems, and support the organization with reliable, data-driven recommendations. • Design, implement, and maintain the Chart of Accounts (CoA) to ensure clear classification and organization.
• Prepare and reconcile trial balances regularly, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date.
• Develop comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Produce detailed Profit & Loss (P&L) statements with variance analysis to inform business decisions.
• Perform manual journal entries, account reconciliations, and validate financial data for completeness and accuracy.
• Implement and manage accounting systems while maintaining expertise in manual accounting methods.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Proven experience in building and managing Chart of Accounts.
• Expertise in preparing financial statements, trial balances, and P&L reports (manual and software-based).
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as ERP, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Strong manual accounting knowledge and skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA or equivalent accounting certification.
• Experience with multiple accounting software platforms.
• Background in financial analysis and reporting.
• Previous part-time or freelance accounting experience.
