JBT Marel is looking for a proactive and creative Learning & Development Specialist to join our team and support the growth of our Poultry Academy.
In this role, you will take ownership of the full Learning & Development lifecycle, with a strong focus on supporting our Service community. You will design and deliver impactful learning solutions that enable our teams and customers to perform at their best in a technical, fast-evolving environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining instructional design, project management, and stakeholder collaboration to drive continuous learning and capability development across a global organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and develop learning journeys and training materials based on input from subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
- Create a variety of learning solutions, including e-learning modules, classroom training, and video-based content.
- Manage the end-to-end development of learning initiatives, acting as project manager for technical and technology-driven training programs.
- Identify learning needs early by engaging with stakeholders and asking the right questions to uncover gaps and opportunities.
- Act as a didactic advisor to internal teams, ensuring learning solutions are effective, engaging, and aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with other academies and Global L&D teams to align learning strategies and share best practices.
- Coordinate and manage the practical aspects of training delivery and continuous improvement of learning activities.

You are a proactive and creative learning professional who enjoys working with technical content and translating it into effective learning experiences. You build strong relationships across the organisation and are confident engaging with both technical experts and business stakeholders.
You are organised, pragmatic, and results-oriented, with a passion for developing people and continuously improving learning solutions.

- Strong instructional design skills, with experience developing a variety of learning formats.
- Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with the ability to gather insights and identify learning needs.
- Creativity in designing engaging and effective learning solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Organisational awareness and the ability to navigate complex, international environments.
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for building and improving learning frameworks.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and developing learning materials and training programmes.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate (or similar).
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Illustrator (or similar) is an advantage.
- Experience working in technical or engineering-focused environments is beneficial.
- Strong written and spoken English skills. Dutch is a benefit as well.
- Experience working in multicultural, cross-functional organisations is an advantage.
