The Role as Head of Finance IT:

The Head of Finance IT leads the technology landscape enabling Group, Regional, and Local Finance across ISS. The role provides senior leadership across Finance and Global Technology Solutions, partnering with executive stakeholders to set direction and ensure stable, secure, and compliant finance systems, integrations, and data. You will own the Finance IT strategy and roadmap, govern the application and integration portfolio, and drive delivery of finance programmes and changes while protecting critical close and reporting processes. The role works closely with Group Finance leadership, Enterprise Architecture, enterprise resource planning teams, regional finance, IT teams, and strategic vendors.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and own the Finance IT strategy, roadmap, and target architecture aligned to Finance priorities and technology and enterprise resource planning standards.
  • Own the Finance application and integration portfolio (value, cost, risk, and technical health), including lifecycle management and standardisation.
  • Lead delivery and run excellence: ensure audit-ready controls (internal control system, access governance, segregation of duties), drive change through governance, and be accountable for service performance, major incident escalation, and cutovers that protect close and reporting.

Key qualifications:

Must have:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, IT, Business Information Systems, or similar.
  • 10+ years’ experience, including several years in senior leadership roles within Finance IT, enterprise resource planning, governance, or finance transformation.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and enterprise resource planning environments, including controls (internal control system, audits, access governance, segregation of duties) and delivery governance with senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning and integration and data platforms (for example SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics) and modern reporting and business intelligence tooling.
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Nice have:

  • Experience working in multi-country operating models and managing vendors/partners within commercial frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP).

Personal skills:

  • Collaborative leadership – naturally bringing people together and building strong partnerships across teams.
  • Big-picture thinking – seeing the broader direction and turning priorities into clear, meaningful actions.
  • Strong executive presence – communicating with confidence and building trust with senior stakeholders globally.
  • Results-driven with sound judgement – delivering outcomes while staying mindful of risks and doing things the right way.
