As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have technical ownership of the mechanical design of laser products and related subsystems. You will work hands-on with the development of robust, opto-mechanical solutions, covering the full lifecycle from early concepts and prototypes to qualification and manufacturing release. The role requires strong technical judgment, practical engineering skills, and the ability to translate requirements into manufacturable designs.
You will be part of the mechanical engineering team in Denmark, working in cross-functional product development projects within a global organization. You will collaborate closely with optical and electronics engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure technically sound and high-quality solutions.

Take responsibility for mechanical development of laser products throughout the full product lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, optical, and electronics engineers on concept development, prototyping, and design maturation.
Own defined work packages within product development projects and contribute to planning, execution, and delivery together with project managers.
Design precision mechanical and opto-mechanical components including creation of 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Support prototype assembly, functional testing, and product qualification.
Support manufacturing of existing laser products, custom orders, and continuous product improvement.
Ensure product compliance and certification according to relevant standards.
Contribute to manufacturing release and production ramp-up.
Work with purchasing and suppliers to identify cost-effective manufacturing solutions for parts and subassemblies, including sourcing and qualifications of new suppliers.
A Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience with pression mechanics or industrial high-tech equipment.
Strong 3D CAD skills: SolidWorks experience is preferred
Experience with opto-mechanical systems, components, or laser products is highly advantageous.
Ability to take ownership and lead mechanical product development.
Experience working with design for reliability and manufacturability.
Strong competence in robust design methodologies.
Solid knowledge of mechanical design and drawing standards for precision CNC machined and sheet metal parts.
Hands-on practical skills and knowledge of state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
Practical experience with 3D printing and basic mechanical workshop tools.
Knowledge of materials science.
Experience with PLM/Vault systems and standard Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Expertise with finite element analysis
Experience with thermal flow simulations.
Well-developed analytical abilities: able to question complex information, identify root causes, and deliver strong technical solutions.
Fluent English written and spoken (English is the official company language).
