About the role 

In the role as Employment Relations Specialist, you will:  

  • Work closely with your ER colleagues in Denmark supporting HR, such as Business Partners and HR Operations units as well as the line organization in complex legal matters and interpretations of the collective agreements as trusted advisor
  • Participating in Nordic HR projects for example in the fields of employment relations as well as compensation and benefits  
  • Coordinate employee benefits in Denmark, monitoring trends and ensuring the relevance and competitiveness of the Danish benefit offering 
  • Contribute to aligning and improving employment relations processes across the Nordic countries together with your colleagues in the Nordic ER and HR Compliance team 
  • Participate in union cooperation and negotiations in Denmark  
  • Provide training and tools for HR and leaders on employment relations topics, both locally and in a Nordic context 
  • Drive work environment topics in Denmark from a legal perspective in close collaboration with the HR Business Partners

• HR Business Partners 
• People Strategy & Development 
• People Tech & HR Operations 
• Compensation & Benefits 

We are now looking for an Employment Relations Specialist in Denmark to join the Nordic Employment Relations & HR Compliance team. The team consists of eight Employment Relations Colleagues across the Nordic countries and supports both HR and the line organization with legal expertise in employment law. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, who are always willing to help each other and share knowledge. The role reports to the Head of Nordic Employment Relations and HR Compliance.

Who are you? 

Success in this role requires not only strong expertise in labor law, but also strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as high resilience. You are a good listener and able to translate legal requirements into practical guidance and find solutions within the legal framework that best support our internal customers. You are self-driven, skilled at building networks and comfortable navigating both internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy collaborating with other teams within HR and with the line organization, and you take an active interest in the business and in understanding our internal customers’ needs. 

You also have:

  • A master’s degree in law 
  • At least 7+ years’ work experience, with experience from an HR organization 
  • Knowledge of the insurance/financial branch collective agreement is meritorious 
  • Experience in negotiations of local collective agreements
  • Highly competent in employee related matters
