Job Description:

   

Job scope/summary: Security Manager to support and process Danish Government, EU, and NATO security clearances, ensuring compliance with all legal and organizational requirements, and to support HPE Denmark in fulfilling secure customer driven security requirements. The role involves liaising with authorities such as the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET), the Danish Defense Intelligence Service (DDIS/FE), NATO and EU agencies, maintaining vetting records, and advising the business on security processes, always acting with the highest level of confidentiality. Candidates must be Danish, Norwegian or Finnish nationals, eligible for security clearance, and ideally bring prior experience of Government vetting procedures and security practices.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

  • Provide support and process all types of security vetting required by the Danish Government, EU, and NATO (new applications, transfers, extensions, renewals).

  • Liaise with the relevant Danish Government authorities and other security authorities as appropriate.

  • Support the business with advice and guidance in coordination with Government Security Services (GSS).

  • Consult and provide assessment on the actions needed in accordance with applicable regulations and be a point of contact in relation to the certification/audits for internal and external related parties, BUs, functions, customers, leaders, team members and other applicable stakeholders.

  • Maintain physical and electronic vetting records, ensuring timely renewals as well as tracking records for all relevant certifications, activities, and appropriate security training, for audits and other requirements, on an ongoing basis. Assist security clearance applicants and act as an SME in collating required documentation for the clearance process, including questionnaires, consents, diplomas, certificates, official notes, medical documentation, and notarized declarations, etc. as mandated by Danish law.

  • Manage record keeping and control of Aftercare Incident Reporting.

  • Manage the ISO 27001 certification process for HPE Denmark and the Nordic Cluster, to include identifying and mitigating information security risks, managing and coordinating the audit process and supporting senior management and other stakeholders as required.

  • Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings, acting as an SME for all security related matters.

  • Manage a Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility in accordance with Danish PET/DDIS/FE requirements.

  • Fostering and promoting a security culture and best security practices across the company in accordance with GSS and HPE policies and procedures.

Key deliverables/accountabilities:

  • The role directly supports compliance with Danish Government, EU, and NATO security requirements.

  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of security vetting applications, enabling the organization to meet legal and contractual obligations.

  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders including PET, DDIS/FE, and internal security clearance applicants, ensuring a smooth and compliant clearance application process.

  • Act as an SME in safeguarding the organization’s security reputation and ability to operate securely within sensitive environments.

  • Candidates must be Danish, Norwegian or Finnish nationals.

  • Must be willing and eligible to undergo appropriate Danish, Norwegian or Finnish security clearance successfully.

Internal:

  • GSS, Delivery, Sales, A&PS, HR, Privacy Functions/Business Units & Danish MD/Senior Leadership Team

External:

  • Danish Govt, EU & NATO departments as appropriate.

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

  • Prior knowledge and experience with Danish government security vetting processes; at least 1 year in a similar role is an advantage.

  • Experience of ISO 27001 standards and controls.

  • Strong background in similar roles requiring strict confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.

  • University degree preferred.

Other requirements:

  • Fluent in written and verbal English.

  • Understanding of EU GDPR and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and applicable Danish legislation and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in handling sensitive Personal Identifiable Information in a secure and controlled way.
