Head of Commercial Excellence - This is where commercial strategy becomes reality 

The Head of Commercial Excellence plays a pivotal role in delivering the Decorative segment’s growth strategy. The purpose of the role is to turn our One Deco ambitions into commercial reality - supporting our distinctive brands by embedding shared excellence and acting as a true industry challenger to deliver leading customer experiences. 

Positioned at the centre of the Decorative segment management function, the role shapes how commercial and sales teams operate across brands, markets and cultures. Global consistency is balanced with brand individuality, alongside a clear expectation of tangible commercial outcomes including revenue growth, market share gain and sustainable profit improvement. 

Working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations and People and Culture, the role connects global ambition with local execution. Impact is delivered through influence, collaboration and data led insight that drives better decisions and stronger customer outcomes. 

What this role shapes and scales - Turning One Deco ambition into commercial impact 

  • Design and embed global commercial excellence frameworks that strengthen One Deco ways of working, improve sales effectiveness and productivity, and deliver measurable commercial results across the Decorative portfolio.. 

  • Meaningful KPIs, dashboards and performance cadences that support confident decision-making. 

  • Customer segmentation and customer-centric ways of working across the Decorative portfolio. 

  • Development and adoption of core commercial systems including CRM, CPQ and customer data platforms. 

  • Partner with senior stakeholders on pricing, promotions, incentives and trading terms, supporting an industry challenger mindset and commercial ambition. 

  • Change initiatives that embed new ways of working and deliver measurable commercial value. 

  • Provide insight and direction through advanced analytics, translating complexity into clear actions that support growth and customer impact. 

What sets you up for success here? 

  • Experience in commercial excellence, sales operations, commercial operations or sales leadership within a complex, multi-brand, multi-country environment. 

  • Confidence building shared frameworks that enable One Deco collaboration while respecting brand individuality. 

  • Strong analytical capability with experience using CRM systems, Excel, Power BI and CPQ to translate data into action. 

  • A collaborative influencing style that builds trust and alignment across cultures and functions. 

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery.
