We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for developing and commercially managing the portfolio of specialty products for the water treatment industry, acting as a link between customer technical needs and the solutions offered by the company. The primary purpose of this role is to generate value through consultative technical sales, focused on results and long-term relationships.
The Day-to-Day
Identify, develop, and manage commercial opportunities within the water industry;
Manage the assigned customer portfolio and expand the customer base through prospecting activities;
Build strong commercial relationships by developing a deep understanding of customer processes and technical needs;
Develop in-depth knowledge of the specialty product portfolio and its technical applications;
Present and recommend technical solutions tailored to each customer and process;
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations, clearly communicating benefits, differentiators, and value propositions;
Provide technical-commercial support throughout the pre-sales, implementation, and follow-up stages;
Coordinate with internal technical teams for application analysis, issue resolution, and specialized support;
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on service quality and commercial continuity;
Achieve the commercial objectives defined for the period;
Record and manage opportunities, customers, and activities within the CRM system;
Monitor commercial performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective or improvement actions;
Conduct regular visits to customers and prospects to gather technical and commercial information;
Analyze market conditions, competition, and commercial factors to adjust sales strategies;
Participate in commercial, technical, and institutional representation activities as required;
Collaborate with marketing, technical, and operations teams to ensure alignment between offering, communication, and execution.
Provide systematic feedback on market trends, customer needs, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
University degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in technical sales, preferably within the water treatment industry or specialty chemical products.
Solid technical knowledge of water industry processes, applications, and solutions.
Proficiency in CRM tools and understanding of commercial performance indicators.
Results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving objectives.
Strong customer orientation and service mindset.
Proactive with a high level of autonomy.
Strong technical-commercial analytical skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
Availability for local and regional travel (occasional).
Residence in Santiago, Chile or surrounding areas.
