Data Engineer (Student Assistant)

At GAN, we seek an analytical Student Assistant who excels in analyzing various structured datasets and developing effective data transformation processes.

As our new Data Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team of highly skilled, dedicated professionals focused on delivering solutions and services to our enterprise customers. Your primary role will involve performing and streamlining complex data onboarding tasks.

In collaboration with both our customers and the GAN Customer Success Team (which includes Implementation and Support), we have designed and built the data transformation processes necessary to integrate the customers’ compliance data into the GAN platform. This data is sensitive and crucial, so attention to detail and a strong commitment to integrity are essential.

Additionally, you may have the opportunity to work on:

• The analysis and reporting side of data helps us deliver value to customers through actionable insights. Building and executing analysis of individual customer data sets. Specifically working with PostgreSQL and AWS QuickSight.
• The infrastructure setup we have with AWS helps our DevOps team test new configurations and components to evolve or streamline our systems and our ways of working with them.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.  
• Experience in establishing data transformation pipelines; proficiency in Python and database management is essential. Familiarity with REST APIs (over HTTPS) is a plus.  
• Experience in handling large volumes of structured data.  
• A blend of attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.  
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.  
• Capability to work independently and take responsibility for outcomes.
