We currently have an excellent opportunity to join our company at a pivotal time of growth and to be part of an exciting journey, here at FUJIFILM Life science Biotechnologies Denmark (FLBD).
 

We are looking for a Supervisor/Associate Manager to lead a team of 30+ Manufacturing Associates (MAs)/Operators working across day and night and 3-4 team leads within the Drug Substance Manufacturing Department in Hillerød.

The position

As a Supervisor/Associate Manager, you play a key role in recognizing and developing each employee, while valuing the diversity of their experiences and educational backgrounds. You also help foster close, trust-based collaboration across functions and ensure our medicines reach the market safely.


This is a fixed day-shift position, and you should expect to work every other weekend as well as some evenings/nights to cover the night team.
 

Major responsibilities include:

  • Fostering high psychological safety, purpose, and commitment within the team
  • Building a high-performing team through individual training, development, and cross-team collaboration
  • Providing shop-floor leadership for MAs (operators): observing, instructing, coaching, setting direction, and leading daily board meetings
  • Identifying technical and compliance gaps and driving effective corrective plans
  • Recruiting new team members
  • Scheduling manufacturing activities and communicating changes or issues to staff and stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Promoting and facilitating systematic problem-solving and continuous improvement on the shop floor, including troubleshooting process and equipment issues
     

Qualifications

Professional

  • Proven experience leading diverse teams in a production environment (food or pharma)
  • Skilled in conversation techniques, conflict resolution, feedback methods, and acting on input
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing activities
  • Experience with LEAN and/or Shingo principles
  • Practical understanding and application of cGMP and related regulations
  • Experience implementing and improving visual management systems
  • Preferably experience supporting drug substance manufacturing or similar processes/industries
  • Able to set clear direction while building trust and strong relationships with team members
  • High proficiency in English
  • Able to work a fixed shift schedule

The Solution Preparation Department and Team

The Solution Prep department consists of three main areas which cover the manufacturing of solutions for our upstream and downstream processes and supply the manufacturing areas with small parts.
The solution prep department consists of approximately 110 employees divided into 4 teams.
 

Your team is responsible for executing protocols driving our process. The work involves all activities related to media and buffer preparation for expansion of mammalian cells and purifying antibodies. Tasks could be setting up equipment to be ready for process; standardizing analytical equipment and using it for in-process samples; and operating automated processes. All activities are performed in a cGMP-controlled environment and documented accordingly.
