Fiskars Group is seeking an Application Manager with solid expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) and strong technical and business understanding to strengthen our ERP Application Management team.

As Application Manager, you will take ownership of the ongoing operations, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of our Dynamics AX platform and its integrations.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT project managers, architects, and external partners to ensure application performance, stability, and compliance.


In addition to operational responsibility, you will also serve as a key 1st and 2nd line expert advisor to the business, helping users get the most value out of the platform and ensuring that change requests and improvement initiatives are handled efficiently.

You will monitor service performance, manage vendor relations, support audits, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation – ensuring that our Axapta environment meets current and future business needs.

As the Application Manager you will have a skilled team both internal as well as external consultants referring to you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the stable and compliant operation of Axapta (Dynamics AX) and related integrations.

  • Act as primary contact for business stakeholders regarding Axapta functionality and improvements.

  • Manage incidents, service requests, Release management and problem resolutions in collaboration with our IT partners.

  • Drive application lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades, and end-of-life planning.

  • Ensure compliance with Fiskars Group IT policies, security, and GDPR requirements.

  • Support system audits and ensure relevant documentation is up to date.

  • Collaborate with project teams and vendors on new developments, rollouts, and enhancements.

  • Facilitate user support, training, and technical coaching.

  • Monitor service costs and performance to ensure value for money.

  • Provide input to IT roadmaps and architecture discussions.

  • Manage and coordinate the team members task and roles

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or other relevant education.

  • Microsoft Dynamics \ Axapta certified preferred.

Experience & knowledge:

  • Proven experience in ERP application management, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 or later).

  • Solid technical understanding of application operations, data integrations, and IT service management.

  • Ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.

  • Experience with incident, problem, and Release management processes.

  • Experience with stakeholder management and have good communication skills.

  • Are aware of the importance of people management and are able to motivate people

  • You are yourself a great team player

  • Robust, structured and able to quickly create overview

  • Able to handle and solve conflict situations

  • Ability to work independently in a global, hybrid work environment

Language skills:

  • English as a daily working language
