Product / UX Designer

Department: Product

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Copenhagen

Reporting To: Head of Product

Description

Factbird is on a mission to turn complex manufacturing data into simple, powerful decisions for the people who run the world's factories. As we scale our platform across global enterprise customers, we are looking for a Product / UX Designer to own the end-to-end design experience—from early-stage research through to polished, production-ready interfaces.

This is not a supporting role. You will be a core driver of how Factbird's product looks, feels, and works—partnering directly with our product, engineering, and commercial stakeholders. You bring a strong execution muscle, know how to simplify complexity, and are genuinely curious about how AI can make your work smarter.

The Role
As a Product / UX Designer you lead with AI tooling rather than traditional design software. You'll use AI-powered tools to accelerate the full design process — from research synthesis to interactive prototypes — reducing or eliminating reliance on Figma. You'll own the design process end-to-end, working closely with product managers and engineers to ship fast, high-quality experiences.

What You'll Do

AI-driven research & synthesis
Drive user research using AI tools to plan and analyze user interviews, synthesize research findings, and generate insight reports — reducing time spent on manual documentation and affinity mapping.

Prompt-driven prototyping
Generate wireframes, UI layouts, and interactive prototypes using AI tools (e.g. v0, Galileo, Lovable, Claude, Cursor). Move from concept to testable prototype without a traditional design handoff.

Code-adjacent design execution

Work directly in or alongside code (HTML/CSS/React) with AI assistance to produce production-ready UI components. Collaborate with engineers by contributing real, runnable designs rather than static mockups.

UX overhaul & journey redesign

Lead a ground-up redesign of the current platform's user experience. Working from existing or newly defined personas, map and critically evaluate all key user journeys — identifying where the current experience breaks down, creates friction, or fails to meet user needs.

Design system stewardship
Maintain and evolve a component library that lives in code (e.g. Storybook, Tailwind tokens). Use AI to audit consistency, generate variants, and keep documentation current.

Product analytics & feature impact measurement
Define and track UX-relevant metrics — task completion, drop-off rates, feature adoption, and satisfaction scores — to assess how well each feature meets user needs and contributes to product growth.

Cross-functional collaboration
Partner closely with PMs to define scope, and with engineers during implementation — bridging the gap between design intent and shipped code faster than a traditional workflow allows. Coach frontend developers in sound design principles.

Product thinking

Contribute to roadmap discussions with a user-centric perspective. Use AI-generated data and rapid iteration to challenge assumptions and validate ideas early and often.

Product launch coordination
Own the end-to-end launch process from design sign-off to release, acting as the connective thread across engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure every feature ships with a consistent experience, clear messaging alignment, and a feedback loop that informs the next iteration.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 3–6 years in UX/product design, with a portfolio showing end-to-end execution in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally with complex or data-heavy products.
  • AI tooling fluency: Hands-on experience with AI design or prototyping tools such as v0, Lovable, Galileo AI, Uizard, or similar — or a demonstrable track record of learning new tools fast.
  • Code comfort: Comfortable reading and editing HTML, CSS, and ideally basic React/JSX — you don't need to be an engineer, but you can hold your own in a codebase with AI assistance.
  • UX craft: Strong grasp of interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility (WCAG) — the AI handles the output, you provide the quality bar.
  • Research: Experience with qualitative research methods; comfort using AI to accelerate synthesis and surface patterns at scale.
  • Demonstrated portfolio: Examples of research, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and shipped products, including examples of simplifying complex platforms
  • Mindset: Curious and proactive about emerging AI tools; comfortable experimenting, iterating quickly, and discarding approaches that don't serve the user.

Our stance on Figma
We're not dogmatic — if Figma is the right tool for a specific job, use it. But we actively encourage and expect this role to find faster paths to a testable, shippable result using AI. We'll measure success by outcomes, not by which tools were used to get there.
