About the role

Job summary

This role involves leading and executing events and community engagement initiatives for a communications team within a non-profit foundation focused on life sciences and deep tech. The position is for a 12-month contract starting mid-October.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., journalism, communications, media studies).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Word; experience with Canva and LinkedIn is preferred.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English at a professional level, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, conceptualize, and execute flagship events such as Demo Day and Innovation Day, along with smaller community events.
  • Serve as the main organizational contact for internal and external events, ensuring accurate representation of the organization.
  • Maintain an overview of all activities and key event stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage organizational merchandise aligned with the organization’s vision and mission.
  • Foster a strong community within the headquarters and across European offices, ensuring alignment with the organization’s values.

Education

  • Relevant degree in communications or related field.

Tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with Canva and LinkedIn is advantageous.
