To strengthen our Vision team, we are looking for a Lead Vision Engineer, who can help us meet our customers’ growing needs for vision applications.

About the role

As Lead Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for driving project execution end to end, ensuring our technical solutions are feasible, delivered on time, and aligned with customers’ requirements. You translate needs into clear specifications, design and implement robust solutions, develop software, integrate hardware, and troubleshoot and optimize applications.

You will also lead small project teams, evaluate and apply standard technologies and toolboxes, uphold technical standards, and champion innovation by introducing new features and continuously elevating our technical capabilities.

Your area of responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Lead the design and implementation of 2D and 3D vision systems for automated inspection, quality control, object localization, and robot guidance throughout the V-model lifecycle
  • Translate customer and project requirements into concrete vision system specifications, selecting cameras, optics, lighting, and algorithms
  • Develop and optimize image-processing pipelines using platforms such as HALCON, OpenCV, or similar frameworks
  • Integrate vision systems with PLCs, robots, and other automation equipment using industrial communication protocols
  • Guide and mentor other engineers in the team, ensuring high technical standards and best practices
  • Perform feasibility studies, prototype testing, calibration, and validation of new setups and technologies (e.g. 3D point cloud analysis, deep learning-based classification, or structured light systems)

You will join your Robotics & Vision Team consisting of 13 dedicated colleagues located at our HQ in Hedensted.

Your qualifications

We imagine that you have a strong technical foundation and thrive in a project-driven environment. You have a proactive mindset and are characterized by the ability to work independently while being a good team player and project lead. You analyze problems, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Vision, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Understand lighting principles, camera calibration, and optical setups. Experience with Python and C++ is an advantage
  • Value good communicative skills – teamwork is essential for how we work
