Would you like to contribute to finding ways to reduce one of the most important food-borne diseases? The PhD candidate will work on two ambitious research projects to achieve this aim together with a team of colleagues, and will combine both field work, laboratory work and bioinformatics. Your overall focus will be to investigate the occurrence of Campylobacter bacteria in sea water in Denmark. Moreover, the aim is to compare findings with campylobacter genome sequences from reported human campylobacteriosis cases in the vicinity.
