You are invited to apply for a 3-year PhD position starting early 2025 within the field of fiber-reinforced additive manufacturing methods and topology optimization. The research project elucidates foundational knowledge about 4D printing of composites with optimized anisotropic microstructures, poised to revolutionize composite fabrication. By creating novel algorithms that integrates optimization of structural topology and local fiber orientation, along with toolpath planning and nozzle movement, we aim at attaining tailored anisotropic material properties and specific stimuli responses for various applications.
