Are you interested in the newest deep learning models for computer vision, and do you want to advance the state-of-the-art for counting people in crowds? Then this position is for you. This PhD project aims at developing methods that enable counting crowds in previously impossible situations and improve accuracy across various scenarios. The project will answer key research questions, including the optimal remote sensing techniques for crowd analysis, strategies for aggregating diverse data sources and pushing the boundaries for crowd counting, including extremely dense crowds.
