Join an inclusive team with a massive impact

You will join the Data Management & Governance team within Enterprise Data Excellence, where our aim is to is to unlock the full potential of data at an enterprise level. This means that we are responsible for data management and governance within DSV as a corporation.

The team consists of 8 colleagues today, but we are also recruiting 2 other senior product managers for data quality and metadata, respectively. We are a diverse group in terms of nationality, seniority, and professional backgrounds – and we excel at using this to our advantage.

You will ensure standardised reference data globally

Your first step will be to create our new strategy for reference data. Once the strategy has been approved by executive management, it is your job ensure that our reference data is uniform and compliant with industry standards – meaning that you will engage with IT and business stakeholders alike.

Furthermore, you will represent reference data as a subject, and participate in building our Enterprise Data Platform (internally called our EDP programme).

Some of your most important tasks will be to:

• Ensure reference data standardisation and cleansing within a business and application context where data is non-compliant against standards
• Lead the digitalisation of our reference data tables , as these will be compiled in SAP MDG
• Formulate concrete requirements for data analysis across various domains, carried out by our data analysts
• Convert the findings from the analyses to concrete initiatives that can be executed throughout the business
• Establish and enforce Reference Data governance standards, ensuring custodianship, quality, and consistency across all systems, applications, and business processes globally.
• Ensure that our models align with reference data governance standards and stay abreast of best practices within the industry
• Act as the enterprise evangelist for Reference Data, representing DSV in internal and external forums, proactively influencing adoption, and ensuring adherence to emerging industry standards and regulatory expectations.

Reference data expert who knows how to collaborate

You enjoy the dynamic of being dependent on different stakeholders, since this gives you the opportunity to collaborate broadly. At the same time, you are motivated by creating progress, which means that taking ownership comes naturally to you.

You have solid analytical and problem solving skills, which enable you to translate data insights, compliance issues, and profiling outcomes into clear business requirements and actionable remediation initiatives.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Have a minimum of 4-7 years  of experience working with reference data or data management
• Have a formal background in Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics, supported by real-world experience in enterprise data management; DAMA/CDMP/DCAM certifications are a strong advantage
• Are a highly capable product manager who ensures strict custodianship of enterprise reference data and safeguards the enterprise data standards
• Have a strong understanding of reference data management frameworks, reference data architecture, governance, lifecycle management and best practices
• Do not necessarily have experience working with SAP, even though this is an advantage
