If you are looking for extending your experience in heat treatment and surface engineering of structural materials in a leading innovative research environment, this might be the opportunity for you. We are looking for a Postdoc with documented experience in thermochemical processing and hardening of steels.
Responsibilities and qualifications
You will conduct experimental research on gas-metal interactions and phase transformations as well as materials microstructure characterization. Your activities are related to externally financed research projects with academic and industrial partners in Denmark and abroad. An important task is the co-supervision of BSc and MSc students in their experimental activities. Experience with a suite of thermochemical processes like nitriding and carburizing, is essential, as is understanding of microstructural evolutions during these processes.
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
The period of employment is 22 months, full time.
