Would you like to shape the next generation of decision-support methods that help wind energy deliver reliable, cost-effective power in an increasingly complex energy system? At DTU Wind and Energy Systems, we study how wind assets interact with electricity markets, grid constraints, and policy frameworks-and how better operational decisions under uncertainty can increase long-term value and security of supply. We invite applications for a DTU Tenure Track Assistant Professor position focused on decision analytics and integrated operational strategies for wind energy assets in coupled systems.
We offer a stimulating role in an international, interdisciplinary environment with strong links to industry and public stakeholders. You will join a research team working at the intersection of wind energy engineering, reliability and risk, and decision science, with opportunities to build your own research agenda and teaching profile.
Responsibilities
Wind energy assets now operate inside tightly coupled technical, economic, and regulatory systems. In this position, you will develop and evaluate decision-support approaches that connect asset physics and reliability with market signals, grid constraints, and evolving policy conditions. Your research will be framed as decision problems spanning multiple time horizons-from operational control and maintenance planning to lifetime extension and long-term planning-under both aleatory and epistemic uncertainty.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
