We are looking for a highly skilled development engineer to help in advance technologies at pilot-scale for the future.
At DTU Chemical Engineering, we work with sustainable solutions to support the transition to a society driven by climate responsibility. A key focus of our work is CO2 capture and utilization.
You will play a central role in the DTU team working with methanol and chemical CO2 capture demonstration plants that incorporate cutting-edge technologies. You will be responsible for commissioning and de-commissioning, pilot operation, you will be on site as part of the DTU team hands-on and actively involved in ensuring that the plants operate as intended. Prior to commissioning, you will prepare and support the installation of the plants at the site and carry out planned modifications and improvements.
The DTU demonstration plants showcase innovative technologies designed to produce e-fuels and reduce energy consumption of CO2 capture. The work is highly collaborative: you will join an experienced and diverse DTU team with a strong track record of successfully delivering similar projects. Furthermore, you will communicate with our industrial partners.
At DTU Chemical Engineering, we are looking for a detail-oriented development engineer to secure our daily operation of our pilot at industrial sites.
Our projects include, among other areas, CO2 capture and utilization, making this position a meaningful opportunity to contribute directly to the green transition. As part of our team, you will play an important role in advancing sustainable technologies.
The job
In this role, you will take on a hands-on and varied set of responsibilities, working closely with both colleagues and industrial partners to ensure the successful operation and development of our methanol and CO2 capture demonstration plants. Your tasks will span from installation and commissioning to daily operation, troubleshooting, often in close cooperation with on-site personnel.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
The period of employment is 3 years. The expected start is 1 May 2026 until 30 April 2029.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
