What you'll be doing

What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a QA Engineer within our Corpay One division. This position falls under our International Vehicle Payments line of business. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure high-quality delivery across the entire customer journey, focusing on risk, real-world scenarios, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will be reporting to the VP Principal Architect.

How We Work
As a QA Engineer, you will be expected to work in a hybrid / full remote environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Company-issued equipment
Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of Corpay One's business processes, customer journeys, and risk areas, and apply that context to guide quality decisions
• Work as a close partner to Product, Engineering, and Design, ensuring quality is considered from early discovery through delivery
• Define and evolve test strategy at the feature and end-to-end level, focusing on real customer behaviour, edge cases, and business-critical scenarios
• Validate end-to-end behaviour across systems, ensuring complex customer journeys function correctly in real-world conditions
• Lead hands-on exploratory testing to uncover meaningful issues that automated tests and happy-path scenarios may not detect
• Assess release readiness by balancing test coverage, automation signals, risk, and customer impact, and clearly communicate trade-offs
• Understand the scope and limitations of existing automation, identify high-value gaps, and collaborate with Automation QA to close them where it matters most
• Review product requirements and designs early to identify ambiguities, risks, and unintended consequences, contributing to clearer and more effective task design
• Take ownership of quality for your assigned product areas, including regression risk, production issues, and continuous improvement, while continuously developing domain knowledge, product understanding, and quality practices to raise the overall quality bar
• Use data, curiosity, and judgment to prioritise testing efforts and focus on the highest-impact risks
• Think in systems and failure modes, and influence better product and engineering outcomes through practical, respectful feedback, without relying on formal authority

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Experience with different testing types: functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test artifacts (checklists, bug reports, test cases, test plans)
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail or similar)
• Confident use of browser DevTools
• Experience working with Git (GitHub, GitLab)
• Ability to perform SQL queries for data validation
• Proactive approach to improving testing strategies and QA processes
• Ability to read and understand code (e.g., TypeScript, C#)
• Experience with API testing (REST) using tools like Postman or Insomnia

Nice to have:
• Experience with test automation
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript-based testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright)
