Risk & Insurance Specialist

We are currently looking for a motivated Risk and Insurance Specialist to join our Insurance Team, based in our headquarters in Copenhagen.

Team

As part of our Global Insurance team, you will engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders and be a part of a team currently consisting of 3 employees focusing on insurance for large renewable energy projects as well as corporate insurances. You will report to the Head of Insurance.

Role

As our new Risk & Insurance Specialist, you will be involved in everything from placements of insurances, contracting, risk management and ensuring a daily support across all areas of insurance.

Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:

• Hands-on work in placement of insurances across CIP’s renewable energy projects, in close collaboration with CIP, CIP Platform Companies and project teams
• Ensure structured approach to insurance placements across CIP
• Working with our insurance brokers in cost reduction possibilities on insurances taken out by projects based on contract structures, contracting parties, applied technologies, quality requirements and other relevant project risk mitigation
• Support M&A transactions in respect of insurance related activities
• Daily insurance support, service, and administration across all lines of insurance
• Support company and project stakeholders in insurance claims handling.

You

We seek an analytical professional with an academic background, holding a relevant master’s degree. You have 1-3 years relevant full-time experience on construction insurance from either an insurance company, insurance broker, or the renewable energy industry.

We look for the following in a candidate

• Experienced in all lines of insurance related to development, construction and operations
• Skills in contractual risk management incl. negotiations with contractor and suppliers
• Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
• Curious and professional in managing tasks
• Thriving on showing initiative and displaying attention to details and deadlines
• Fluency in English, both verbal and writing and have great communication skills.
