Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure? If so, CIP Fund Solutions (CIP FS) is looking for an ESG Data Specialist to join our office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Team

You will join a 10-person ESG team and work closely with colleagues across investments, finance, and operations. The ESG team works close to real infrastructure investments and asset‑level decisions and is looking to improve its ESG data and reporting capabilities.

The team is looking to add an ESG Data Specialist with programming experience to shape how ESG data supports investments, reporting, and transparency across our funds and projects.

Role

In your new role, you will work with ESG data across the investment lifecycle, with direct exposure to infrastructure assets and projects.

As Copenhagen Infrastructure Partner's investment scope and technologies continue to expand, the role also involves contributing to the development of new ESG data methodologies and approaches that reflect the underlying business and asset characteristics. A key part of the role is addressing open‑ended questions where requirements are still evolving and defining how ESG data and related methodologies should be structured, calculated, and supported by automated solutions.

You will experience a steep learning curve, offering the opportunity to shape CIP’s ESG reporting and data framework as it evolves alongside the platform.

Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to ESG reporting for CIP funds and vehicles, including SFDR and annual reporting
  • Support the design and improvement of ESG data flows and processes, ensuring consistency, transparency, and auditability
  • Build automation and reusable logic to reduce manual work processes
  • Work with ESG data from assets and projects, supporting collection, validation, and use across reporting, analysis, and investment processes
  • Interpret ESG and sustainability‑related requirements and translate them into clear, business‑relevant data and reporting needs
  • Contribute to the development of ESG data methodologies for new technologies and investment types as CIP’s portfolio grows
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across ESG, investments, finance, and external advisors.

You

You have at min. 4 years of professional experience in a similar position and have experience with programming or scripting, such as Python, SQL, or similar languages. You might come from a background with ESG, asset management, reporting, finance, audit, data & analytics, or a related role.

We are open to candidates with different backgrounds, but you must have a genuine interest in ESG and sustainability and be motivated by working with data in a real‑asset investment context.

We look for the following in a candidate:

  • A genuine interest in ESG, sustainability reporting, and how ESG data supports investment and business decisions
  • Comfortable working beyond Excel‑only solutions and enjoy improving processes through structured, repeatable logic
  • Have experience automating data or reporting processes, or a keen interest in reducing manual work through simple, scalable solutions
  • Bring solid analytical skills and can translate requirements and business questions into practical data and reporting solutions
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate well with colleagues across disciplines
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Experience with sustainability regulations such as SFDR or other regulations. Motivation and interest in the role matter, so we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement.
