Investment Analyst, Distressed and Special Situations - Copenhagen

We are seeking a full-time Analyst to join our Distressed and Special Situations team, a specialist group within our broader investment platform. The team currently consists of 2 full-time professionals and 3 students. You will be part of our larger investment team of over 50 investment professionals.

The core focus of the distressed and special situations team is distressed credit analysis and coverage of debt investments trading significantly below par, as well as workout and turnaround of underperforming investments across our liquid and illiquid investment strategies.

Job description:

• Distressed credit investment analysis, including in-depth commercial and financial due diligence, valuation and restructuring scenario and recovery analysis.
• Restructuring process management and execution.
• Ongoing coverage of existing stressed and distressed credit investments.
• Turnaround execution and return optimization for restructured credits where we have become an owner.
• Working together with external advisors, management and boards of investment companies, other creditors and stakeholders as well as other Capital Four teams on the above.
• Various other ad-hoc assignments related to investment analysis, restructuring execution and portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field, with strong academic credentials.
• 3-7 years of experience from investment banking, corporate finance, leveraged finance, private equity, consulting or similar.
• Great analytical and modelling skills with keen attention to detail.
• Structured work approach with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality results.
• Team-player with an ambitious and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in written and spoken English.
