Tasks
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
CBRE is recruiting a Divisional Project Director to join the team located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role is a hybrid role and will require attendance at our office in Copenhagen and client sites situated across the breadth of the country.
Purpose Of The Job
- Lead and grow the divisional project business by promoting, selling, and delivering compliant, high‑quality projects that meet or exceed QHSE and governance standards
- Provide leadership, direction, and development for the division’s project team
- Build strong client and supply chain relationships to enable successful project delivery
- Shape and drive the project pipeline and orderbook strategy
- Support the implementation of the CBRE Local Operating Model and the wider project business strategy
- Contribute to divisional strategy execution and collaborate with regional project leadership and the broader PJM organisation
Key Tasks
Leadership & Talent
- Build and develop the right team structure, hire and retain talent, manage performance and resolve people issues
- Support growth and development of team members
- Provide strong leadership in project reviews, communication, and decision‑making
Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and deliver the divisional projects strategy and support wider regional PJM strategy
- Drive divisional pipeline and orderbook to achieve business targets
- Identify, win, and grow project opportunities through client relationships, innovation, and cross‑selling
- Create case studies, host client site tours, and promote CBRE’s project offering
Client, Supply Chain & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify project opportunities
- Support supply chain development and management
Governance, Compliance & QHSE
- Ensure full compliance with CBRE’s Local Operating Model, governance standards, and QHSE processes
- Oversee safe project delivery, risk management, and statutory requirements
- Ensure all projects meet contractual obligations on maintenance and standalone contracts
Commercial & Financial Management
- Lead commercial negotiations, manage disputes, and ensure contractual alignment.
- Own divisional forecasting and financial reporting in partnership with Finance
- Maintain positive cash flow and maximise profit through effective delivery and risk control
Operational Excellence
- Ensure efficient project delivery through strong processes, accurate reporting, and best‑practice implementation
- Continually innovate the project offering to create new revenue streams
- Uphold and promote CBRE’s core values across the division
Requirements
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Training
- Technical qualification in construction, mechanical or electrical engineering (desirable)
- Degree in project or construction management; leadership or chartership qualifications (RICS, APM, Prince2) desirable
- Strong written and numerical literacy
- Mandatory safety qualifications: CDM knowledge, SMSTS, NEBOSH, CSCS; IOSH desirable
Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex projects safely in M&E, FM, construction or critical environments
- Strong background in identifying and developing new project opportunities
- Demonstrated business leadership with full P&L responsibility
- Experience in bids, tenders, proposals and client‑facing presentations
