Execution Trader – High Yield Bonds & Leveraged Loans, Copenhagen

Join a specialized, market-facing trading team

Trading sits at the center of the value chain: We implement investment decisions across portfolios and coordinate closely with the portfolio optimization team, research analysts, operations, risk and external counterparties.

We primarily execute trades in high-yield bonds and leveraged loans – two segments of the credit market that remain among the least electronic, while evolving quickly. This is an execution-first role: You will take ownership of straightforward flow trades early on and grow in scope and complexity as your experience develops.

Focus on execution

We’re looking for someone who earns trust through precision and consistent execution. You have a solid foundation in the trade lifecycle and good judgement - sense-checking what matters, taking front-to-back ownership, and escalating material issues early to protect clients. You are calm under pressure, organized in how you work, and motivated by being accountable for outcomes.

Technology is increasingly shaping trading. We expect you to be familiar with Python/SQL and comfortable working with data, and eager to keep learning and apply new tools - including AI - as they become part of the trading toolkit.

Your responsibilities will include

• Daily execution of trades across our credit strategies, primarily high-yield bonds and leveraged loans.
• Coordinating closely with the portfolio optimization team and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions.
• Acting as a key link between investment teams, operations and counterparties to ensure smooth trade flow and great execution quality.
• Maintaining a consistently high-quality bar on trade details and trade flow; escalating early when something sticks out.
• Contributing over time to a more scalable way of working - using data and automation to reduce friction and improve robustness.

What we are looking for

We hire for execution and learning agility — and we value people who take ownership, follow procedures, and deliver consistently high-quality outcomes. Most likely you have 1–3 years of relevant experience in a “markets-facing” environment—e.g., asset management, a bank/markets role, trading/trading support, Fixed-Income operations linked to trading, or risk/analytics.

We expect you to have

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, or a related field.
• A highly structured work approach, take ownership, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality output.
• A good eye for detail and the judgement to know what to double-check.
• Familiarity with Python/SQL and comfortable working with data.
• Great communication skills and fluency in English.
