The position

As our Business Improvement Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving our Project Excellence portfolio of strategic improvement initiatives across the business. You’ll be working with multidisciplinary teams, ensure project progress, and secure alignment from stakeholders at all levels - from project owners to senior leadership.

Your work will span everything from project planning and stakeholder management, to data analysis and process optimization. You’ll apply best‑practice project methodologies, challenge existing workflows, and make sure that inputs, decisions, and deliverables are provided on time and with the right quality.

Your key tasks will be:

  • Lead and support improvement projects using strong project management principles
  • Analyze project data to identify bottlenecks, root causes, and opportunities for optimization
  • Own project plans, milestones, and deliverables—and follow up relentlessly
  • Engage, coordinate, and challenge stakeholders to ensure progress and accountability
  • Track performance metrics and communicate project status clearly and effectively
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and help drive cost savings and operational excellence
  • Train and coach colleagues in improvement techniques
  • Act as a change agent who challenges the status quo and elevates project management practice

This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborates closely with the O&M Business Improvement Director and stakeholders in our portfolio of improvement initiatives.

The position requires limited travel (up to 10%).

Qualifications

Education

  • An university degree or similar background, complemented by Project Management courses
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent qualification will be a strong advantage

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong experience in data gathering and data analysis across multiple projects
  • Experience with process optimization in industrial plants and manufacturing units
  • Proven track record managing change and continuous improvement projects in a global organization
  • Solid project management capabilities, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Experience with project management tools, and excellent skills in Excel, Access, and other relevant systems
