Are you an experienced hotel professional with front desk experience – and ready to take on a leadership role without stepping away from hands-on hospitality?
Hotel Herman K is looking for a committed and present Host Manager who is passionate about people, guest experiences, and daily hotel operations.
As Host Manager, you will lead the front desk team and be part of the hotel’s management team. You’ll have full operational responsibility for the reception and report directly to the Hotel Manager.
But this is not a desk job – you’ll be actively involved in daily operations and included in the duty rota alongside your team. This means you’ll work evenings and weekends as well, taking the lead in delivering high service and genuine guest interaction with professionalism and calm leadership.
Your responsibilities span from scheduling and staff development to budget management, guest satisfaction, and everyday hosting. This role requires business insight, presence, and an eye for detail – especially at Herman K, where aesthetics and atmosphere are key parts of the experience.
Has experience in the hotel industry, including front desk work – this is a requirement.
Thrives in a visible, hands-on leadership role and is used to taking responsibility.
Has experience with shift planning, staff training, and team development.
Speaks and writes fluent Danish – this is mandatory.
Has strong communication skills in English.
Is motivated by creating results – both financially and in guest satisfaction.
Daily leadership and active participation in reception operations – including evening and weekend shifts.
Shift scheduling, recruitment, and on-the-job training of new team members.
Direct guest interaction, hosting, and front-line guest service.
Budget and P&L responsibility for the reception.
Collaboration with the Hotel Manager, marketing team, and other hotels in the Bühlmann Group.
Contribution to local initiatives, guest experiences, happenings, and events.
