Northern Europe | Teledyne Marine
Your Sales Opportunity
Teledyne Marine is looking for a driven and technically savvy Sales Manager to own and grow their Imaging & Instruments business across Northern Europe. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of cutting-edge ocean technology and strategic sales — ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and shaping market presence in a complex, technical environment.
Beyond the core territory, you will play an active role in supporting the expansion of Teledyne Marine's footprint within European Defence, working closely with our Business Development Director and product factories.
How You’ll Win Business
Driving Revenue & Pipeline
• Own and exceed quarterly and annual orders and sales targets, supported by a well-maintained pipeline in Salesforce.
• Deliver accurate booking forecasts and keep customer and opportunity records up to date.
Building & Managing Channels
• Actively manage distributor and channel partner relationships to ensure full engagement, alignment, and performance.
• Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to maximise market penetration — both direct and through channel partners — including new market entries.
Winning Customers & Closing Deals
• Lead technical seminars, product presentations, and live demonstrations — independently and alongside partners.
• Act as a trusted advisor, with a thorough understanding of the Teledyne Marine Imaging & Instruments portfolio and how it compares to competing solutions in the market.
Growing the Market & Spotting Opportunities
• Support broader Teledyne business units and defence initiatives through introductions, joint visits, and demonstrations where needed.
• Identify non-standard sales opportunities and collaborate with product management to develop winning approaches.
• Stay sharp on competitor activity and provide qualitative insight on market conditions, trends, new applications, and product ideas.
What Makes You the Right Hire
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience is a pre.
• A solid track record within technical sales and business development
• A background in the maritime industry is a strong advantage, but not a must.
• Naturally confident communicator — equally comfortable with a field engineer and a C-suite executive.
• Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to Northern Europe are a plus.
• Strong ability to understand and articulate technical and maritime concepts clearly and credibly.
What Winning Looks Like
• Booking and revenue targets met or exceeded.
• Quality and timeliness of booking forecasts.
• Channel partner performance and quarterly reporting.
• Competitive and market intelligence contributions.
• Customer satisfaction.
