At Bavarian Nordic, we are committed to improving and saving lives through innovative vaccines. We are looking for a highly experienced Stability Scientist / Specialist to take a key scientific role within stability for our late-stage and commercial products.

You will act as a subject matter expert with significant impact on stability strategy, product shelf life, and quality decisions.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will act as a specialist within stability, with responsibility for ensuring robust stability strategies, product quality, and regulatory compliance across late-stage and commercial products.

  • Own and drive stability strategies and studies, including planning, execution, data evaluation, and authorship of Annual Stability Reports and regulatory documentation
  • Define and justify shelf life, including assessment of temperature excursions and clear product impact evaluations across WSV, MSV, BDS, and FDP
  • Act as subject matter expert on stability, leading scientific assessments, investigations, and risk evaluations related to product quality
  • Ensure compliant handling of stability equipment, systems (e.g. SampleManager), and data integrity across all activities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and ensure compliance with cGMP and the Bavarian Nordic Quality System, including authoring key GMP documentation

Your Profile

You have strong scientific expertise within stability and thrive in a GMP-regulated environment.

  • Scientific academic degree (e.g. Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry or similar) with strong experience in stability within pharma/biotech
  • Proven expertise in stability data interpretation, product impact assessment, and shelf-life justification, including excursions handling
  • Experience working with stability equipment, LIMS/SampleManager, and data integrity requirements
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of scientific ownership and accountability
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills, with full English proficiency
